Our wedding celebration stay was negatively affected by undisclosed construction conditions. Positive: Bad Experience: We specifically booked this chalet (from 21st May to 30th May) for a very special occasion: wedding celebration. We stayed at the property for 9 nights and planned to enjoy the natural surroundings and outdoor areas with family and friends whom we had invited from Tunisia and England to celebrate with us. This was a highly important personal event for us, and the outdoor environment played a central role in the experience we expected. Our group also included our two children and an elderly family member, making the quality, safety, and comfort of the surroundings especially important. Upon arrival, we were surprised to discover that the area surrounding the chalet appeared to be under construction. There was an excavator parked directly outside the property, the grounds had been heavily disturbed, and significant excavation and landscaping work had clearly taken place around the chalet. In addition, we experienced difficulties accessing the property upon arrival because we had initially been provided with an incorrect door access code. After multiple unsuccessful attempts, we had to contact the host again, who then provided us with the correct code. This caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience at the start of our stay, particularly after travelling with children, an elderly family member, and guests arriving for our wedding celebration. When contacting the property regarding the condition of the surroundings, we were informed that the photographs shown in the listing were taken during the winter and that everything was covered with snow. However, our concern is not related to the season in which the photographs were taken. Rather, it is that the actual condition of the property upon arrival was significantly different from the impression created by the listing. The presence of excavation work, disturbed landscaping, unfinished outdoor areas, and heavy machinery materially affected the appearance and enjoyment of the property. Negative: We believe that guests should be informed of such significant changes before making a reservation so that they can make an informed decision. Although construction work was not actively taking place during our visit and there was no significant noise, the overall appearance of the property was far from what was presented in the listing. The presence of heavy machinery and unfinished outdoor areas created the impression of a construction site rather than the peaceful retreat we had expected for such an important milestone in our lives. As a result, we felt uncomfortable using the outdoor spaces and were unable to fully enjoy the setting we had chosen for wedding celebration. Much of our time was spent inside the chalet, and the experience did not reflect what we had anticipated when making the reservation. Most importantly, we were not informed before our arrival that the property would be in this condition. Had this information been disclosed, we would have been able to make an informed decision before booking. While we completed our stay, we believe that the undisclosed condition of the property negatively affected a very important occasion for us and did not match the expectations created by the listing.

Exquisitely maintained property. Very welcoming. Positive: Beautiful property. Spacious and very clean. Magnificent high ceilings. Terrific large deck. Wonderful stay. Negative: Was missing drinking glasses (only three available) but was well stocked on all other kitchen items, Mugs for coffee were in abundance.
